Cape May Warbler

The male Cape May warbler is so striking in appearance that it's very unlikely to be confused with any other warbler at Magee Marsh.  The mature males have a strong red face patch.  The females are less distinct, lacking a red cheek patch, as the photos below illustrate.  Abundance peaks around the middle of May.
