Tennessee Warbler

The Tennessee warbler is a fairly common bird at Magee Marsh in the middle of May, with a peak occurrence in the third week of the month.  The bird often hangs upside-down while feeding high in the trees; they are often seen at the west tower feeding on catkins.  The bird can be discriminated from the vireos by the sharp beak; vireo beaks are generally thicker and more rounded at the end.
