Canada WarblerThe Canada warbler is
most often confused with the magnolia
warbler, though the differences
are fairly obvious once you've had some practice distinguishing between
them. Whereas the magnolia has breast stripes, the Canada has a
black necklace. Also, whereas the magnolia has a strong black
face mask surmounted by a white stripe and a blue-gray head, the Canada
has yellow spectacles and some black above the eye (in mature
males). The Canada is most common during the last two weeks of
May, with the traditional peak being in the third week of the month.
